Vertebral pedicle involvement in skeletal metastasis: Plain Radiograph


This can observed on AP view with absence of one or both of the vertebral “eyes”. Cortical involvement may occur in pedicle earlier than in the vertebral body due to relative scarcity of spongious tissue.

 Thus metastases may be visible earlier in pedicle.
